Donella M. Wilson , Principal
Donella has ten years of public accounting experience providing audit, accounting and special project services. Her industry experience includes nonprofits, closely held companies in service, manufacturing, waste management and recycling, real estate development and home building.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, Donella further obtained post-graduate diplomas in accounting and taxation. As a qualified South African Chartered Accountant she worked for an international accounting firm in Cape Town before relocating to England. In England Donella worked in private industry, primarily for telecommunications and television companies, providing management accounting and special project services.
In 2006 Donella completed the Riordan Volunteer Leadership Development Program, managed under the auspices of the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce, of which she is a member. The goal of this program is to educate and train young professionals for life-long service in the governance of nonprofit organizations, through service on nonprofit boards or committees. Through this program, Donella interned with the Downtown Women’s Center and she is currently serving on their Board of Directors.
Donella is a member of the California Society of CPAs and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and chairs the California Society of CPAs nonprofit discussion group.
Along with her husband, Ley, Donella enjoys travel and outdoor adventure, with rock climbing and back-packing being her favorite past-times. |
