History
Sills & Gentille has a long history assisting talent in obtaining their fair share of profits from the motion picture studios. The firm traces its history back to Solomon, Finger & Newman, renowned specialists in auditing motion picture and television profit participations. In 1982, Solomon, Finger & Newman merged with Laventhol & Horwath, the 9th largest CPA firm in the world. Bill Adelmann and Steve Sills ran the Participations and Royalty Investigations Division of the firm until Sills & Adelmann was formed in 1990.
In 2000, Bill Adelmann retired and Michele Gentille, an employee since the founding of the company, became a shareholder. The firm officially changed its name to Sills & Gentille in May 2006 and later joined Green Hasson & Janks LLP in October 2007. Along with their support staff, Steve and Michele, with Bill as a valued consultant, continue to serve clients in motion pictures, television, merchandising and other specialty areas of contingent compensations. This site will introduce you to the company, its personnel and its business practices. We value the privacy of our clients and will not disclose their names, but a review of the motion pictures, television series and other products we have audited on their behalf will clearly show that Sills & Gentille is the premier accounting firm providing participation auditing services to the entertainment industry. |
