GHJ Profit Participation Services Practice Leader Ilan Haimoff and Jason Squire, USC School of Cinematic Arts Professor Emeritus and editor of The Movie Business Book Fourth Edition, continue this season of “The Movie Business Podcast” looking at “The New Normal” from different perspectives. In this episode, they talk to Craig Wagner, Head of Business Affairs and General Counsel for Paradigm Talent Agency.

As Head of Business Affairs, Craig is responsible for negotiating talent agreements for film and television. He shares the ways television deals differ have changed as more shows go to streaming, where less viewership data is available than for linear television.

Craig, Ilan and Jason also discuss how film deals have changed, especially as many films in 2020 went to streaming instead of theaters (or in addition to theaters, in the case of HBO Max).
