Interns are paid at a rate of $33.00/hour for Summer 2026.

• GHJ’s Summer 2026 Internship Program runs from Monday, June 15 – Friday, August 14, 2026
• All GHJ employees, including interns, will be off from Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 3, 2026 to honor our Firm’s Wellness Week. Interns will still be paid for a 40-hour work week.

GHJ currently offers internships at several of its offices across the U.S. 

• Southern California Headquarters: GHJ’s Los Angeles headquarters’ central location provides easy access to public transportation as well as being surrounded by a plethora of restaurants and shops. The modern office has 360-degree views of Los Angeles and acts as a great space for collaboration and networking, not to mention fun events sponsored by both the Firm and the building (The BLOC). There is even rooftop access straight from our floor.
• Northern California Office: GHJ’s Northern California Office is a great workspace located in the heart of San Jose that serves as the home base for GHJ team members located across the Bay Area and as far east as Sacramento. The San Jose office is deeply connected with the community and works with numerous individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations in the area. This vibrant location offers easy access to public transportation, a variety of dining options and numerous cultural and recreational activities.
• Denver Office: GHJ’s Denver office is located in Greenwood Village, CO, a thriving business community just south of downtown Denver. Surrounded by parks, restaurants and local shops, the office offers a comfortable and professional setting with convenient access to public transit and major highways. This location serves as a central hub for team members across Colorado and supports clients throughout the Mountain West region. With regular visits from Firm leadership and a strong connection to GHJ’s national network, the Denver office offers interns a supportive and engaging environment to grow professionally.
• New York Office: GHJ’s New York office is located in the heart of downtown Buffalo, surrounded by the city’s growing business and cultural districts. The office serves as a key hub for GHJ’s East Coast presence, supporting clients across New York and throughout the region. Team members enjoy a modern, collaborative workspace. With a strong sense of community and regular engagement with local businesses and nonprofit organizations, GHJ’s Buffalo team embodies the Firm’s commitment to building lasting relationships and fostering professional growth.

GHJ requires all interns to be onsite for training and events. Hybrid working options are at the discretion of the respective department leaders and resource managers.

• Enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Accounting or a related major with a minimum GPA of 3.0
• Ideally, you will have approximately one year remaining in your accounting or related coursework
• Involvement in Beta Alpha Psi, Accounting Society, Accounting Association or other student organizations and leadership roles is highly encouraged

Each summer, all interns take part in a meaningful community service activity, often joined by GHJ employees and Firm leaders. These opportunities typically include sorting and packaging non-perishable food at local food banks and distributing food to families and individuals who need it most. It is a hands-on way to experience GHJ’s core values in action, make a real impact in the local community and build lasting connections with your fellow interns and the broader GHJ team.

At GHJ, you as more than just an intern — you are a future leader. You will receive feedback throughout your journey. This is your opportunity to prove you have got what it takes to secure a full-time role at GHJ.

Interns are evaluated holistically based on teamwork, timeliness, work products, firm integration and more. At the end of the internship period, a respective department lead will complete a formal evaluation based on an intern's performance, which is communicated to each intern. Departments use informal and formal evaluations to help determine if an intern is qualified to be offered a full-time position at GHJ at the conclusion of the internship.
