Innovative Artists Talent and Literary Agency (Innovative Artists), a bicoastal talent agency that represents clients in acting, literary, production, comedy, broadcast and voiceover media, has received a significant investment from Los Angeles-based private equity firm Coral Tree Partners. GHJ’s Transaction Advisory Services team advised Innovative Artists on the investment.

Innovative Artists was founded in 1982 by Scott Harris and Howard Goldberg. Today, the company provides talent services in the entertainment sector with clients across the country. Harris will continue to lead the company as Chief Executive Officer.

GHJ’s Transaction Advisory Services team served as the sell-side advisor to Innovative Artists. The team provided strategic and financial guidance throughout the transaction, including a quality of earnings analysis, working capital review and support in establishing a strong foundation for a successful deal.

“Innovative Artists has built a strong reputation in the entertainment industry, and GHJ is proud to support their leadership through this exciting next chapter,” said Luke Visser, a member of GHJ’s Transaction Advisory Services Practice. “Our team worked closely with the company to ensure a smooth diligence process and successful closing.”

Houlihan Lokey served as investment bankers and financial advisors to Innovative Artists.
