A leading provider of Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors (ABCs) services, restructuring and fiduciary support was acquired by a top global business advisory firm, under GHJ’s buy-side advisement. Eisner Amper recently acquired Sherwood Partners, a Santa Clara, California-based firm with over 30 years of experience serving clients across technology, manufacturing, and professional services industries.

Sherwood Partners is headquartered in Silicon Valley with offices in Los Angeles and New York. Its team specializes in ABCs, corporate restructuring, managed liquidations, intellectual property monetization and distressed asset management.

Eisner Amper is a global provider of assurance, tax, outsourced and advisory services with over 4,500 employees and offices both nationally and internationally.

GHJ’s Transaction Advisory Services Practice supported Sherwood Partners during the sale to secure an ideal buyer for the professional services provider’s succession of its specialized capabilities and robust team.

“Concentrations in niche services, such as distressed M&A, insolvency and ABCs, are in high demand as firms look to enhance their ability to serve clients across all of their advisory needs,” said Anant Patel, Advisory Services Practice leader, who supported the engagement. “Sherwood Partners has an impressive portfolio of unique skills and services. It was a privilege to find them the right partner to continue their legacy.”

The transaction closed in July 2026 and expands Eisner Amper’s financial advisory and restructuring resources delivered to clients.

GHJ provides comprehensive support for buy- and sell-side transactions with enterprise values ranging from $10 million to $3 billion, including due diligence, valuation, deal structuring and integration guidance.
