Published by the American Distilling Institute and now available on Amazon, Distillery Finance explains how to structure a business, interpret financial statements and budget for the future. The book explains accounting theory and offers guidance for practical application, with advice for startups and established producers alike. It also includes interviews and commentary from experienced distillery executives, making it an essential addition to any distillery professional’s bookshelf.

Maria Pearman, CPA, CGMA, has more than 15 years of public accounting experience providing accounting and advisory services to clients. She is an expert in the beverage alcohol industry and specializes in internal accounting processes, financial reviews, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial strategy and succession planning.

A proven expert in the beverage alcohol space, Maria sits on the Finance Committee for the Brewers Association, the nation’s largest industry organization for craft brewers and is an Advisory Board member for The Bruery. She has taught courses on beverage alcohol business at the University of Vermont, Portland State University and the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States Academy. Her previous book, Small Brewery Finance, was published by the Brewers Association.
