Changing trade policies and tariffs are poised to have a resounding impact on the brewing industry, which is challenging how brewers evaluate costs, imported goods, consumer preferences and long-term resilience. GHJ’s Kevin Michaelan was recently featured in a Craft Business Daily article about how tariffs can affect the brewing landscape and its future. This followed a Brewers Association webinar Kevin moderated, which covered new tariffs on imported goods, the effects of inflation, rethinking supplier relationships and more.

Kevin is the Tax Leader of GHJ’s Transaction Advisory Services and Food and Beverage Practices with over 15 years of public accounting experience. Kevin specializes in tax structuring, modeling and due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, capital raises and debt financings. He has worked on hundreds of middle-market transactions ranging from sub-$25 million deals to multibillion-dollar cross-border deals.

The Craft Business Daily article, “BA and Co. Examine Tariffs’ Existential Implications,” recaps the webinar, highlighting the importance of staying nimble in times of economic instability.
