GHJ Nonprofit Tax Practice Leader Lizbeth Nevarez was profiled by Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County (NLSLA). In the article, Lizbeth shares her journey from immigrant to DACA recipient to GHJ Nonprofit Tax Practice Leader and new member of NLSLA’s Board of Directors.
A recognized leader in the nonprofit space, Lizbeth is a graduate of the Riordan Leadership Institute’s Board Service program through the Los Angeles Junior Chamber of Commerce, which develops and cultivates business professionals for lifelong service in the nonprofit community.
In addition to her work with NLSLA, she is Secretary for GHJ Foundation, GHJ’s vehicle for purposeful and proactive giving to the community, and sits on the Board of Directors of the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation, which provide social services for infants through seniors across four pillars: early child education services, senior services, community development services and community partnership services.
