Jose Cardenas, MAcc, has over 15 years of extensive accounting expertise. He is a member of GHJ’s Client Accounting and Advisory Services Practice and is passionate about cultivating client relationships and contributing to solutions that empower clients to #BeMore.

Before joining GHJ in 2023, Jose served as a regional controller for global spirits company Bacardi, Ltd., overseeing its accounting and finance shared service center team. His deep knowledge extends beyond the beverage alcohol sector, having also spent many years with a large global restaurant chain.

Jose’s career spans various accounting, assurance and compliance roles, offering audit and advisory services across many industries. He is an expert in internal accounting processes, financial reviews, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial strategy and compliance reviews.

Jose earned both his Bachelor of Accountancy Degree and Master of Science Degree in Accounting from Florida International University in Miami.

In his spare time, Jose enjoys most outdoor activities, spending time in nature and cherishing moments with family and friends.
