GHJ Beverage Practice Leader Maria Pearman will discuss what accountants should know about working in the beverage alcohol industry at the Bottles, Brews and Buds Virtual Conference, which takes place Oct. 21 at 12 p.m. PST. This half-day webinar is presented by the Alaska, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington Societies of CPAs.

The Bottles, Brews and Buds Conference offers engaging sessions on what CPAs and other financial professionals should know if they are involved or interested in the cannabis, wine, brewing and distilling industries.

This year’s agenda includes accounting, fraud and environmental, social and governance (ESG) considerations in the beverage alcohol and cannabis industries.

An expert in the industry, Maria has written two books about managing the business side of beverage alcohol: Small Brewery Finance and Distillery Finance. She will participate in a general session titled “Getting into the Niche of Alcohol and Cannabis Accounting.”
