GHJ Nonprofit Tax Practice Leader Lizbeth Nevarez and Partner Yulia Murzaeva will be featured speakers at the 27th Annual Western Conference on Tax-Exempt Organizations. Hosted by the UCLA School of Law Lowell Milken Center for Philanthropy and Nonprofits and Loyola Law School, this two-day conference attracts nearly 150 lawyers, accountants and in-house professionals representing a broad range of nonprofit organizations and takes place Feb. 27 and 28, 2025. 

Yulia will participate in a panel discussion titled “Accounting Updates: What all EO Practitioners Need to Know. She will be joined by Harrington Group Managing Partner Tonetta Conner, SingerLewak Tax Partner Nanaz Benyamini and EY Americas Exempt Organization Tax Services Leader Debra Heiskala.

Lizbeth will participate in a panel discussion titled “Private Foundation Hot Topics.” She will be joined by David and Lucille Packard Foundation General Counsel Emily Fan, Adler & Colvin Principal Rosemary Fei and Gordon Advisors Senior Manager Michael Berry.
