GHJ IT Director Jerry Leever shared his experience dealing with the CrowdStrike outage with the Washington Post.
Jerry spoke to Washington Post Tech at Work Writer Danielle Abril about how he and his team went to work after a faulty software update sent out by cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike caused a global outage of Microsoft computers.
When the issue was detected around 10:30 p.m. pacific time on July 19, Jerry and his team began work to get servers back online and inform all team members of the issue. By 10:30 a.m. the next morning, the entire Firm was back online.
