LOS ANGELES, CA (July 31, 2023) – GHJ, a national advisory and accounting firm, is pleased to announce that Beverage Practice Leader Maria Pearman and Nonprofit Principal Yulia Murzaeva were recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as Women of Influence: Accounting.

“Congratulations to Maria and Yulia, two emerging leaders who have made a significant positive impact in the lives of their colleagues and clients,” said GHJ Managing Partner Tom Barry. “Both of these women brought extensive technical knowledge to GHJ and have used their positions of leadership to develop strong teams behind them and enhance the client experience.”

Los Angeles Business Journal’s annual “Women of Influence: Accounting” issue highlights the leaders who are working to transform the industry as service providers and as leaders. Maria and Yulia were selected for this list based on their demonstrated impact in the accounting profession.

A well-respected thought leader, Maria has written two books about running successful food and beverage businesses and taught courses on how to run a successful beverage company for the University of Vermont and the Distilled Spirits Council. Prior to joining GHJ in 2021, she built a national practice that specialized in beverage alcohol clients.
