LOS ANGELES, CA (July 31, 2023) – GHJ, a national advisory and accounting firm, is pleased to announce that Beverage Practice Leader Maria Pearman and Nonprofit Principal Yulia Murzaeva were recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as Women of Influence: Accounting.

MARIA PEARMAN
Maria is the Beverage Practice Leader and provides accounting and advisory services to both food and beverage clients to help them navigate all stages of the business life cycle, from startups to mature and established brands. She partners with clients to achieve their goals in an extremely competitive market, whether they are seeking to increase revenues, optimize operational efficiencies or prepare for an exit.
A well-respected thought leader, Maria has written two books about running successful food and beverage businesses and taught courses on how to run a successful beverage company for the University of Vermont and the Distilled Spirits Council. Prior to joining GHJ in 2021, she built a national practice that specialized in beverage alcohol clients.
YULIA MURZAEVA
Yulia is a leader in GHJ’s Nonprofit Practice. Known as a technical subject matter expert, Yulia oversees the implementation of new accounting and auditing standards and other audit quality initiatives at GHJ. She also serves as co-chair of GHJ’s Women’s Empowerment Cohort and leads GHJ’s Nonprofit and Single Audit Learning and Performance Programs.
Yulia exclusively serves nonprofit organizations and provides audit and consulting services to a wide range of clients with an emphasis on GHJ’s clinics and healthcare sub-niche. She volunteers her time on the Board of Directors for the Pacific Heart, Lung & Blood Institute.
