Last week I blogged about the new FAQs related to understanding and applying the new Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards, otherwise known as the Supercircular. The AICPA’s Governmental Audit Quality Center (GAQC) has scheduled an event open to non-GAQC members that may be of interest to you as a recipient of federal awards. It is titled, Uniform Guidance for Federal Awards: The New Cost Principles, Time and Effort Reporting, Procurement and Other Administrative Requirements, and will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014, from 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM (Eastern Time).
This event is intended to provide auditees and auditors with an understanding of some of the key changes to the cost principles and certain other administrative requirements that will result upon the effective date of the U.S. Office of Management and Budget Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards. Additionally, the event will discuss related questions and answers on these topics contained in the recently released Council on Financial Assistance Reform frequently asked questions (FAQ) document titled, Frequently Asked Questions For The Office of Management and Budget's Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for Federal Awards At 2 CFR 200. In the event you are interested, I have provided the registration link below where you can find out more about the topic, the cost of the event, as well how to register. You will also be eligible to receive two hours of CPE credit for you participation.
