GHJ Search and Staffing Practice Leader Derrick Coleman appeared as a panelist during the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Diversity, Equity + Inclusion Symposium. The event consisted of three expert-led panels covering Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, respectively.
Derrick sat on the panel covering diversity. This panel covered the ways diversity can be implemented in a company’s culture and how success would be measured in a diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) program.
“In a DEI-driven culture the journey is the objective, not the end result,” Derrick said during the symposium. “It is a mindset shift from checking boxes and implementing mandatory diversity trainings to a holistic and human-centered approach.”
