LOS ANGELES, CA (Sept. 23, 2021) – GHJ, a leading accounting and advisory firm, was once again named a 2021 IPA Top 200 Firm by Inside Public Accounting.
“We are proud to once again be recognized as an IPA Top 200 Firm,” said GHJ Managing Partner Tom Barry. “As a firm, we are more committed than ever to help our clients navigate through disruption, continue to make strides in diversity, equity and inclusion and, above all, invest in our people.”
The Firm’s commitment to creating diversity of thought is a large factor in its evolution and success. GHJ launched its Women’s Empowerment Cohort six years ago and rolled out its BIPOC (Black and Indigenous People of Color) Cohort last year. In 2021, the firm further expanded the ERG offerings with a Parenting Cohort influenced by the shared challenges the pandemic presented.
“At GHJ, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture that celebrates diversity,” Partner and Chief Strategy Officer Mari-Anne Kehler said. “We have made great strides this past year through a number of initiatives and will continue to listen to our employees.”
A firm of the future, GHJ continues to be a place where employees can grow and #BeMore. An advocate of hybrid work before COVID, the Firm adopted an “anywhere/anytime” work manifesto to provide employees more flexibility and better work-life balance. This has also allowed the Firm to expand its workforce beyond Los Angeles and source talent across the U.S.
“Hybrid work is here to stay, and we are fortunate to have a head start,” Barry said. “Our Firm’s future looks promising and full of opportunity. This recognition further solidifies that we are on the right path.”
Additionally, during the past year, GHJ responded to the pandemic by creating a task force dedicated to helping businesses navigate through the changes occurring both economically and within laws and the government. The Firm provided guidance on complex legislation such as the Paycheck Protection Program and Emergency Government Disaster Loan and Grant.
“As trusted advisors to our clients, we knew we had to quickly get up-to-speed, act and share our thought leadership so our clients could innovate and adapt to the rapid changes occurring in the marketplace,” said Barry. “Our ability to pivot and understand client’s needs has helped our clients grow and have success during this time of disruption.”
