GHJ Women’s Empowerment Leaders Honored by Los Angeles Business Journal

LOS ANGELES, CA (June 29, 2023) – GHJ, a national advisory and accounting firm, is delighted to announce that two co-chairs of the Firm’s Women’s Empowerment Cohort were honored at the Los Angeles Business Journal’s Women’s Leadership Awards.

GHJ Managing Director Yulia Murzaeva was nominated for the Champion of Women Award and Senior Manager Christina Fung was nominated for the Woman to Watch Award.

The Los Angeles Business Journal Women’s Leadership Symposium and Awards is an annual event that celebrates top women business leaders who are making a difference in the community.

YULIA MURZAEVA

Yulia exclusively serves nonprofit organizations and provides audit and consulting services to a wide range of clients with an emphasis on GHJ’s clinics and healthcare sub-niche. She is a technical subject matter expert at the Firm and oversees the implementation of new accounting and auditing standards, as well as several other audit quality initiatives.

In addition to her work as co-chair of GHJ’s Women’s Empowerment Cohort, Yulia volunteers her time on the Board of Directors for the Pacific Heart, Lung & Blood Institute. She was recognized for her day-to-day efforts to empower women in business, which she accomplishes through mentorship, leadership and volunteering.

CHRISTINA FUNG

Christina is a member of GHJ’s Forensic Services Practice, where she supports clients through any issue that may threaten their business through litigation support, forensic investigations and fraud investigations. She has worked in public accounting for six years, and in that time she has developed a passion for empowering others to develop their skills and achieve their goals.

Her work as a forensic accountant and as co-chair of GHJ’s Women’s Leadership Cohort inspires those around her to remain curious and open-minded. She has made a meaningful imprint on the lives of her colleagues and clients, and she has contributed to GHJ’s Firm culture.
