GHJ Partner Steven D. Sills is nominated as
2016 Entertainment Accountant of the Year
Also recognized by the CalCPA Education Foundation for 25 years of teaching
LOS ANGELES, CA (June 29, 2016) – Los Angeles-based accounting firm GHJ is proud to announce that one of its partners, Steven D. Sills, was nominated for the 2016 Entertainment Accountant of the Year award, presented by the CalCPA Education Foundation at its annual Entertainment Conference on June 15. Sills was also recognized at the event for 25 years of teaching for CalCPA.
Sills has been serving the entertainment industry for more than 35 years. His specialty is audits of production and distribution of motion pictures and television programs on behalf of third-party participants, including talent and investors. He is an attorney, CPA, Certified Fraud Examiner and Certified in Financial Forensics. He has provided expert testimony in entertainment litigation, been a contract negotiator for profit and royalty participants and participated in settlement negotiations of audit claims. Sills has also been a featured speaker for the CalCPA Education Foundation and New York CPA Foundation, as well as the UCLA and USC film schools.
Sills spent 13 years at the accounting firm of Laventhol & Horwath before founding his own firm, which merged with GHJ in 2007.
