GHJ Leader Shares His Experience as a Black Board Member on Nonprofit Lowdown Podcast

GHJ Managing Director and Search and Staffing Practice Leader Derrick Coleman appeared on the Nonprofit Lowdown podcast to share his experience as a board member for multiple nonprofits. In addition, Derrick dispels some myths about diversifying your board with Nonprofit Lowdown Host Rhea Wong.

Derrick is board certified by the African American Board Leadership Institute and currently serves on the board of three nonprofits: The GHJ Foundation, The Downtown Women’s Center and Godiss Love.

As practice leader of GHJ’s recruiting division, Derrick promotes diverse and equitable hiring practices. He has been recognized for his leadership in diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility (DEIA) efforts and was featured as a visionary honoree in Los Angeles Times B2B Publishing Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility Magazine.
