The publication honored Blueprint CFO Managing Director Ronny Angel, GHJ Audit and Assurance Principal Melanie Horowitz and GHJ Audit and Assurance Practice Leader Satpal Nagpal.

RONNY ANGEL
Ronny Angel, MBA, is a fractional CFO at Blueprint CFO with deep experience providing financial services and outsourced accounting, as well as serving in controller roles for leading organizations throughout the Los Angeles region. His nearly three decades of leadership, innovation and sustained impact across businesses showcase his expertise in forward-thinking financial leadership that goes well beyond traditional accounting to help business leaders understand their operations.

MELANIE HOROWITZ
Melanie Horowitz, CPA, is a principal in GHJ’s Audit and Assurance Practice, with extensive experience serving both nonprofit and for-profit organizations. She actively strengthens client operations through tenured audit, accounting and financial reporting expertise and is recognized for her collaborative approach and commitment to helping organizations achieve their goals. Melanie is also a member of GHJ’s Audit and Assurance Practice’s Leadership and Strategy team, in which she assists in driving audit quality initiatives and leading projects that advance the Firm’s client-centric services.
“It is so meaningful to play a role in the success and growth of businesses and organizations in the Los Angeles community,” Melanie said. “To be recognized as a top accountant for doing work I am passionate about is a huge honor and one I do not take lightly.”
Melanie also serves as GHJ’s Head of Learning and Professional Development for the Audit and Assurance Practice. In this role, she oversees all aspects of training and development to optimize the client services team’s ability to drive better business outcomes for the organizations it serves. Outside of work, she is on the board of directors and audit committee of the nonprofit, Inner City Arts.
SATPAL NAGPAL
With more than 25 years of experience, Satpal Nagpal, CPA, leads GHJ’s Audit and Assurance Practice, whose strategic guidance has been instrumental in transforming how audits are delivered to provide enhanced support to clients. Satpal has introduced scalable technologies, established international service partnerships and championed innovation that allows the Firm to more seamlessly serve complex, growing organizations through all of their challenges. Dedicated to building a next-generation firm, Satpal’s future-looking, entrepreneurial approach to client service and team leadership continues to drive progress in the industry as a whole.

Satpal is also passionate about education and has lectured at the Hebrew Union College and Riordan Volunteer Leadership Development Program on nonprofit financial management. He has participated at roundtable conferences for guiding USC Masters of Accounting and Taxation students in making career decisions and is a former board member for Synergy Academies and the International Education Research Foundation. This is the third time Satpal was recognized on this list.
