DONELLA WILSON
Donella leads GHJ’s Nonprofit Practice and is President and Chief Philanthropy Officer of GHJ Foundation. She works alongside many leading nonprofits and uses her influence as a trusted advisor to strengthen the nonprofit community. Beyond her client work, Donella is a board member for Food Forward and a member of the Southern California Grantmakers Audit Committee and Corporate Leadership Council. She previously served on the Downtown Women’s Center’s Board of Directors for 13 years.
Through her role at GHJ Foundation, she regularly advises her colleagues on how to give back to their community through volunteerism or board membership. Through GHJ Foundation, Donella teaches her colleagues how to become philanthropists and support the causes they care about.
LIZBETH NEVAREZ
Lizbeth leverages her extensive experience in public accounting and nonprofit leadership to drive impactful change in the lives of her clients. She helps clients achieve financial compliance and enables them to focus on their missions. Passionate about empowering those around her, Lizbeth is also a co-leader of GHJ’s Women’s Empowerment Cohort, where she plays a pivotal role in advancing gender equity in the accounting profession.
Outside of GHJ, Lizbeth serves on the boards of Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County and the Mexican American Opportunity Foundation. She previously served on the board of Executive Service Corps, an organization that provides affordable coaching and consulting services to nonprofits.
MELANIE HOROWITZ
Melanie provides auditing and consulting services to a diverse range of nonprofit clients, including organizations that offer social services such as child development, mental health and educational services. Her dedication to excellence and impactful contributions to the nonprofit community make her a standout in the industry and a leader at GHJ. An active supporter of the Los Angeles nonprofit community, Melanie can often be found at galas and fundraisers benefitting local organizations.
As the Learning and Performance program leader for GHJ’s Audit and Assurance Practice, Melanie mentors and trains the next generation of accounting professionals. Her efforts help develop future leaders in the nonprofit and accounting sectors.
