This appointment strengthens the Firm’s international services for cross-border business activities.

LOS ANGELES, CA – GHJ, a national advisory, tax and accounting firm, announced that Partner Andreas Koller has been named the Firm’s International Tax Services Practice Leader. With more than two decades of experience in corporate and international tax services, Andreas now leads GHJ’s international tax team, which serves clients with complex cross-border tax needs across industries.

Andreas joined GHJ in 2023 and brings a deep understanding of international tax law and a global business mindset shaped by his experience living and working in three countries. Based in Seattle, Washington, he oversees the Firm’s national practice with global reach.

In addition to his international tax services leadership, Andreas heads GHJ’s International and German Desk and manages the Firm’s relationship with HLB, a top 10 global network of independent advisory and accounting firms.

“Cross-border tax laws and regulations are often perceived as barriers to entry for many businesses,” Andreas said. “My team and I remain focused on removing that friction for our clients, uncovering opportunities to grow and facing clients’ challenges head on.”

Andreas is succeeding Polina Chapiro, who first founded GHJ’s International Tax Practice. Building on that foundation, Andreas is focused on aligning GHJ’s international tax strategy with today’s global marketplace and enhancing the client experience through tailored, forward-thinking solutions.

“The future of GHJ’s international tax clients is in excellent hands,” praised Polina. “Our international tax services team will greatly benefit from Andreas’ many years of experience in complex cross-border tax issues, business acumen, deep expertise and genuine passion for serving his clients.”

A native of Germany, Andreas has been instrumental in scaling GHJ’s international tax reach through the Firm’s German Desk, which helps German-speaking companies operate efficiently in the U.S. and supports U.S. companies with operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

“Andreas brings a global perspective and strategic mindset to this role,” said Gina McLeod, GHJ’s Tax Services Practice leader. “His leadership will help GHJ deepen our international capabilities while continuing to provide the high-touch, collaborative service that clients value.”

This announcement reflects GHJ’s ongoing commitment to expanding its specialized service offerings through strategic independence and talent-driven leadership. GHJ’s international tax professionals work closely with clients to structure cross-border transactions, address regulatory requirements and minimize global tax exposure.
