GHJ Welcomes Maria Pearman to the Food and Beverage Practice

LOS ANGELES, CA (Jan. 18, 2022) – GHJ, a national accounting and advisory firm headquartered in Los Angeles, expands its Food and Beverage Practice with the addition of Maria Pearman, CPA, CGMA. Maria joins the Firm as a principal and provides deep expertise in the beverage and alcohol sector.

Maria has more than 10 years of public accounting experience providing accounting and advisory services to clients. She is a well-known expert in the beverage and alcohol industry and specializes in internal accounting processes, financial reviews, budgeting, cash flow forecasting, financial strategy and succession planning.

“We are excited to welcome Maria to our dynamic Food and Beverage Practice,” said GHJ Partner and Food and Beverage Practice Leader Donald Snyder. “With her substantial experience in the beverage industry, she will provide valuable insights into the sector and help to continue to grow the practice and better service our clients.”

Prior to joining GHJ in 2021, Maria was based in Portland, OR. She built a national practice focused on beverage alcohol clients. Maria helped clients to improve financial results and maximize the efficiency of operations and guided them through ownership transitions.

Maria is also a featured speaker and author on topics in the beverage space, specifically related to craft breweries. She has taught courses at the Business of Craft Beer program at the University of Vermont as well as the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States Academy.

Published by the Brewers Association in 2019, Maria wrote a top-rated book, Small Brewery Finance, to help small businesses run more successful breweries. She is currently working on a new book, Distillery Finance, set to be released in the spring of 2022.
