This recognition celebrates professionals who have made significant contributions in their fields while demonstrating exceptional leadership and community involvement.

DAVID SUTTON

David has been instrumental in driving the firm's growth and innovation in the private equity sector. As one of the leaders of GHJ’s Business Resiliency Taskforce, David spearheads important initiatives to guide businesses through economic disruption. He also hosts GHJ’s Business Disruption and Resilience Podcast, where he leads vital discussions about how business owners can achieve success in a competitive marketplace.

David joined GHJ’s Partner Group in January 2023. In recognition of his leadership in the private equity space, David was named a Banking and Finance Visionary by L.A. Times B2B Publishing and a Private Equity Leader of Influence by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2023.

MARIA PEARMAN

Maria stands out for her deep expertise and passion for helping others. Dedicated to serving the food and beverage space, Maria regularly shares her insights with the industry and has written two books about running successful beverage alcohol businesses: Small Brewery Finance and Distillery Finance. She has taught courses at the Business of Craft Beer program at the University of Vermont as well as the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States Academy.

Maria will join GHJ’s Partner Group on Jan. 1, 2024. In recognition of her leadership as a client service provider, Maria was named a Woman of Influence: Accounting by the Los Angeles Business Journal in 2022 and 2023 and was nominated for L.A. Times B2B Publishing’s Inspirational Women Awards in 2023.
