The Los Angeles Business Journal’s annual list of top accounting firms ranked GHJ the 13th largest, up two spots from last year.

LOS ANGELES, CA – GHJ, a national advisory, tax and accounting firm, has been ranked the 13th largest accounting firm in Los Angeles County by the Los Angeles Business Journal, rising two spots from last year’s list.

As GHJ continues to build a firm centered on operational excellence, financial discipline and long-term partnerships, it does so with autonomy and purpose. GHJ’s growth model is rooted in intentional expansion, not external pressure to scale. The Firm measures success not by size alone, but by the strength of its relationships, the quality of its impact and the integrity behind every decision.

“The way we see growth is more than a number on a financial sheet,” said GHJ’s Managing Partner Tom Barry. “We invest in people, culture and values. We grow when and where it makes sense, not as a reaction to industry or economic pressures.”

STRENGTHENING SERVICES, INVESTING IN LEADERS

Earlier this month, GHJ announced the strategic merger of Blueprint CFO, a tenured fractional CFO services firm in Southern California. The combination brings Blueprint’s highly personalized financial strategy services together with GHJ’s deep bench of expertise across tax, audit and assurance, advisory, and search and staffing solutions. Hacker, Douglas & Company, LLP, a leader in profit participation and entertainment accounting, also joined the Firm in June 2025.

As an investment in strengthening its client-first approach, GHJ welcomed its newest class of Partners and named Andreas Koller the International Tax Practice Leader; the latter to support the growing demands of a complex client base in today’s global marketplace. GHJ also recently appointed new members of its Executive Committee, a group responsible for shaping the Firm’s executive strategy, as part of its succession-focused leadership model.

“How accounting firms approach growth has greatly shifted in recent years,” said GHJ’s Chief Strategy Officer and Partner Mari-Anne Kehler. “For us, success is not about market share. It is about delivering meaningful impact in the markets we choose to serve and building a firm that lasts because it is grounded in purpose.”

SERVING ORGANIZATIONS WITH PURPOSE

GHJ is committed to building a firm that endures because it is grounded in purpose rather than external pressures. With ongoing investments in core service lines, intentional succession planning and key leadership appointments, GHJ can better serve organizations in Los Angeles and throughout the country with high-touch, strategic support.
