T.J. Choi, CPA, has eight years of public accounting experience focusing on corporate taxation. He assists clients with their tax compliance and consulting needs, including tax returns, tax provision preparation and review (ASC 740), assistance with tax implications of mergers and acquisitions and other tax-planning matters.

Prior to joining GHJ in 2023, T.J. worked for a Big Four accounting firm and midsize public accounting firm.

T.J. is a member of the Firm’s Technical Advisory Group for C-corporation taxes and is a subject matter resource for accounting for income taxes under ASC 740.

Active in the community, T.J. has been a speaker at WiNGS for Women and Families (formerly Dallas YWCA). In this capacity, he provided insightful presentations on various corporate tax matters and gave back by sharing valuable expertise with the community.

T.J. graduated from Hongik University in South Korea where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management. He also attained his Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Texas, Dallas. T.J. is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Texas and a member of the AICPA and Texas Society of CPAs.
